Phyllis’ works as a visual artist explore the intersections of creative practice and regenerative thinking. Her artistic practice includes art direction in photography, critical curation and installation, often addressing ecological and food systems, climate awareness and interspecies relationships. Exhibited in The Netherlands, Denmark, Italy and the United Kingdom, her projects emphasise attentive observation, material experimentation and reflection. Phyllis positions the visual arts as a site for inquiry and learning, where creative processes contribute to broader regenerative frameworks. By integrating aesthetics, research and pedagogy, she investigates how artistic practice can model sustainable behaviours, provoke dialogue and cultivate systemic awareness.

The Greenhouse (2021) is a double triptych exploring the construction of new terrain through playful patterns, multidimensional perspectives and collaborative vision. The series produces eccentric spatial visuals that reveal more through suggestion than depiction. Situated at Stadskwekerij De Kas, a self-sustained community greenhouse, the project foregrounds local entrepreneurship during the pandemic, incorporating edible showcases from restaurants and contributions from Rotterdam-based artists and designers.
